WordPress MU 2.6.1 wurde veröffentlicht

So eben hat Donncha nach etwas längerm warten WordPress MU 2.6.1 veröffentlicht. So wie WP 2.6.1 ist dies nur ein Service-Release, das heißt es gab (zum Glück) keine Sicherheitslücken die behebt werden müssen. Dennoch wird ein Update empfohlen, denn es wurden zwei große Bugs behoben:

  • Benutzer ohne Blogs können nun wieder von Site Admins gelöscht werden. (#728)
  • Die Einstellung “Standardavatar” wird nun wieder gespeichert. (#703)

Außerdem bekommen gelöschte Blogs den HTTP-Header “Gone”. Somit erkennen Suchmaschinen, dass die Seite nun für immer weg sein wird. Auch gab es eine Menge Optimierung des Codes. Zudem wurde aufgeräumt. Zusätzlich wurde die Funktion eingebaut, dass ein Hauptblog (Ein Blog der, der Site Adresse entspricht) nicht vom Benutzer gelöscht werden kann.
